A simple sentence-case conversion lowercases the text, then capitalizes the first letter at the start and after periods, question marks, exclamation marks, or line breaks. That creates a useful baseline for descriptions, notes, and body copy.

It is not a grammar engine. Abbreviations with periods can look like sentence boundaries, while names such as “eBay,” “McDonald,” and “iPhone” require specific internal capitalization. Acronyms such as “NASA” also need to be restored after a general conversion.

A basic title-case converter capitalizes the first letter of every word. That is useful for card labels, short section names, and rough lists. Formal style guides are more nuanced: some lowercase short articles and prepositions, some use sentence case for headings, and rules vary between publications.
