When is PDF splitting useful?
Use it to share only the relevant pages from a long report, separate scanned records, or archive every page as an individual PDF. The range field accepts combined selections such as 1-3, 5, 8-10 and includes duplicate page numbers only once.
Limits and checks
- The limit is 100 MB for one PDF; available device memory may impose a lower practical limit.
- Password-protected or damaged PDFs may not open.
- Saving every page separately can trigger the browser’s multiple-download permission.
- Open the result and check page order and content before sharing.

Is my PDF uploaded?
No. pdf-lib opens the document in browser memory and creates the new PDF on your device.
Can I extract selected PDF pages?
Yes. Combine individual page numbers and ranges with commas, for example 2, 4-7, 10.

Range Mode vs Separate Files
Range mode keeps a selection such as 2, 5, 8-10 in one new PDF. The separate-files option creates one download per selected page and a long document may prompt the browser to allow multiple downloads. Printed page labels can differ from the viewer’s counter, so verify the actual positions first.
Pages are copied into new documents rather than deliberately rasterised. Password-protected or damaged inputs may not open. Reopen the result and verify page order and count before sharing it.
