WEBP to PNG Converter
Drag and drop your WEBP files and download them as PNG. No sign-up, no upload — the whole conversion happens on your device.
WebP to PNG Is Not a Quality Upgrade
PNG can be a more compatible editing format when a design application, presentation tool or corporate system cannot open WebP. A transparent WebP can be exported with its alpha channel available in PNG.
The process does not increase visible detail. Artefacts in a lossy WebP become pixels in the PNG, and the file will often grow. Choose PNG for compatibility or a lossless next editing step.
How to Use It
- Drag your WEBP files into the box above, or click to browse (multiple files are supported).
- Adjust the quality slider if needed.
- Click "Convert".
- The converted PNG files start downloading automatically; if there's more than one, use "Download All" to grab them all.
Alpha, File Size and Animation
PNG output does not use a quality percentage, so the interface hides that control. Existing alpha can be retained, but the converter cannot create transparency or detail absent from the source.
Canvas encoding writes only the decoded image. WebP metadata is omitted, and animation is not preserved; the result is one static PNG.

When Converting to PNG Is Reasonable
- Edit the image in graphics software that has no WebP support.
- Place a transparent product cut-out into a PNG-only document system.
- Create a compatible intermediate copy while retaining the original WebP.

Where the File Content Is Processed
Your selected file is read by browser APIs on the device; RizeTab does not upload its content to a processing server. PDF routes may download pdf-lib or pdf.js code from a CDN. That request can expose an IP address and ordinary connection details to the provider, but the file being converted is not part of it.
Questions Specific to This Conversion
Does PNG improve the quality of WebP?
No. PNG stores the current pixels losslessly but cannot restore information removed from a lossy WebP.
Is transparency retained?
If the source WebP contains an alpha channel, it can be preserved in the PNG output.
Why can the PNG be much larger?
PNG uses lossless encoding and does not retain WebP’s compression advantage.
What happens to animated WebP?
Animation is not retained. The output is a single static PNG from the browser-decoded frame.
Why is there no quality control?
PNG does not use the percentage control in this tool; it is shown only for lossy JPEG and WebP targets.
